Relaxed and Cooking

Relaxed and Cooking

The other evening my sweet man went next door to check on Chrissy.

He went in to see her laid back on the couch watching TV and eating an apple.  Believing everything was ok he sat down to relax.  A few moments later, he ask what she was doing.

“What are you cooking?”

“Fried potatoes I think”

“How long have they been cooking?”

“I don’t know”

“Have you checked them?”

“I can’t remember.”

My sweet man quickly jumps up and heads to the kitchen.  Just in time as the potatoes were still frying; they were hard and on the dark side!

Wow. That is a little scary. Good thing he came over.

    • Yes Maam indeed it was unsettling. Kerry, she has not cooked in over a year. She will help me prepare foods but has not cooked on her own for a long time. To think she gathered the pototes, washed them (hopefully), peeled, sliced, found the skillet and lid, pour oil, and managed the push in knob on her stove – look at all the steps involved! The Alzheimer’ brain continues to baffle me.
