About Me

I live in North Carolina with my husband and miniture schnauzer; we also live next door to Chrissy, which is a good thing.  I find pleasure in spending time with my sweet man, being on or near a lake at night, slipping away with close friends, cooking dinner for friends, and I love to meander around our home.

Hi, I saw your article in Alzheimer’s Weekly and thought it was very nicely done. It was refreshing to read that which showed someone with compassion and caring after I made the mistake of going on to the Aging Care Website. I responded to what I felt was a very insensitive post about a parent and received a very negative and rude response. Anyway, you’ve restored my faith in humanity and I wanted you to know I enjoyed your article and the other posts I read on your blog. God Bless you and keep up the good care.

Alzheimer’s Weekly had the article about the puzzles, which took me to a link to your blog. Sometimes I forget that nothing is direct on the Internet. Here is the link to Alzheimer’s Weekly – http://www.alzheimersweekly.com/content/puzzles-remember

  3. I have really enjoyed reading your posts. I’d like to email you directly because we are interested in featuring your blog on our site. I work with Alzcare, a Texas company that operates specialized Alzheimer’s assisted living facilities.

    Thanks-

  4. Hi Judy,

I sent you an email last week and hadn’t heard back so I thought I would try you again here. As a leader in the conversation about family care-giving and support on the Internet today, I’d like to introduce you and the readers of Chrissy’s Moments to Caregiver Village, an online community designed exclusively for those who provide care to a family member with special needs. The founders of Caregiver Village have just put aside a portion of the launch funding to support caregiving organizations. For every person that joins Caregiver Village, they will donate $1 to that persons organization of choice. I’ve created a page which explains everything:

    http://www.caregivervillage.com/social-media

Caregiver Village members are able to connect with friends, participate in book clubs with celebrity authors, journal, play mystery games, solve puzzles, and learn valuable information about care-giving. I would love it if you would join Caregiver Village and let your readers know about it. If you are able to post or tweet about this, please let me know. I am here if you need any help or have any questions.

    Thanks so much,

    Sheila
